Related Component Courses
Certain classes are structured with a combination of credit (usually lecture) and non-credit (usually discussion, laboratory, etc.) components. These classes are called Related Component courses.
In the Registration System, only one Related Component course of a lecture/lab/discussion combination is designated as the "enrollment" class (usually the lab or discussion). This "enrollment" class is the only one you can select during Registration or Drop/Add. Once the "enrollment" class has been selected, the registration system will prompt you to select the related component classes that fit your schedule based on class meeting days and times. You will not be successfully registered in the class until you have selected all related components.
Courses with related components (labs, discussions, lectures, etc.) are not eligible for individual component waitlists if you are already registered in the course.
